MHC has updated its Notice of Privacy Practices (NPP), effective February 16, 2026, to reflect recent federal regulatory changes relating to the confidentiality of substance use disorder (SUD) treatment records under 42 C.F.R. Part 2.
MHC is not a substance use disorder treatment program and does not receive federal funding under Part 2. However, in limited circumstances, MHC or its administrator may receive SUD treatment records from a provider that is subject to Part 2. The updated NPP clarifies how such information would be handled if received.
No changes have been made to participants’ rights under HIPAA. Here is the updated Notice.
If you have questions regarding this update, please contact the MHC Privacy Officer.
